What is Cosmetic Tattooing?

Cosmetic tattooing involves implanting pigment into the skin. The pigment is more gentle for facial skin and the colours aren’t as bright, which looks better for semi-permanent makeup. During the first treatment, pigment is implanted into the upper layers of the dermis with fine needles. As part of your treatment with Skin Revolution Australia, a touch-up session at 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment is required. The colour is then expected to fade or soften to give a more natural looking final result.

Cosmetic tattooing should only be performed by a trained specialist.

The common areas for cosmetic tattooing are:

  • eyebrows

  • lips

  • eyeliner.

Different names for micro pigmentation include:

  • cosmetic tattoo

  • semi-permanent make up

  • permanent make up.

Styles and other names for microblade include

  • feather brows

  • ombré brows

  • soft curve brows.

Generally, the results are excellent and Skin Revolution Australia will work with you to achieve your goals. However, a perfect result is not a realistic expectation.

It is also important to remember that the pigment is semi-permanent and will fade over time. Skin Revolution Australia recommends for the best and lasting results to return for a maintenance session at approximately the 12 month mark. Results are also dependent on your skin type and lifestyle.
