Wrinkle management services are the most popular cosmetic treatment sort throughout the world. Skin Revolution Australia offers multiple services focused on relaxing skin and softening the active lines or wrinkles possibly helping to create a smoother appearance. It is considered a safe and effective cosmetic treatment to possibly help minimise the repetitive wrinkle creasing, which over time may soften these lines or wrinkles. A consultation and assessment is performed prior to any Skin Revolution Australia treatment or service to ensure it is suitable for you and that you understand and comply with the post care requirements.

How long do the results last?

Depending on which service is undertaken the full effect may last 6 weeks, 3-5 months, or longer. Repeat and maintenance may help results last longer.

When is it best to book my next appointment?

The best time for repeating is just before full wrinkling start appearing again.

What are the side effects?

Side effects include but are not limited to:

• Bruising, Swelling and or redness at the injection sites

• Headache or a sensation of tightness Rare

• Drooping of the brow or eyelid

• Dry eyes

• Nausea

• Asymmetry of expression

Side effects are temporary and usually spontaneously resolve with the exception of the drooping brow or eyelid, which may take 2 – 3 weeks. As part of the post care you are expected to contact Skin Revolution Australia.

Who is suitable to have wrinkle management services?

• You must be over 18 years old.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you will have to wait and be given medical clearance before receiving a treatment.

• If you have had a previous allergic reaction to any products used.

• It is not not suitable for people with certain neuromuscular disorders, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease], myasthenia gravis or Lambert‐Eaton syndrome.

Skin Revolution Australia offers a variety of services that may volumise, lift, create structure and improve fine lines to enhance your natural features.

‘One size does not fit all’!

Services are tailored to meet your goals for the area to be treated in order to achieve the best result for each area.  This will be assessed and discussed with you during your consultation.

You may see an immediate improvement. But the final result will be around the 2 week follow up appointment, as any swelling, bruising, tenderness and lumpy-type feeling will be mostly settled.

Results

Results may be dependent on a number of factors including the type of products used, the area treated and the amount used. People’s metabolism and environmental factors such as sun exposure and smoking are examples of factors that influence results. Results have been shown to last from 6 – 24 months.

Some areas that may be treated?

• Facial contours: cheeks, temples, jawline, nose, chin

• Lips

• Facial wrinkles or folds

• Hollows under the eyes (tear troughs)

• Improve the tone, texture and hydration of the skin.

Do treatments hurt?

Treatment may be uncomfortable but not usually painful. Some areas like the lips are a little more sensitive than others.

Ways to help make treatments more comfortable are explained with you prior to treatment.

A cold compress can be applied after to help reduce any discomfort and bruising that may occur. 

Do I have to take any precautions after my treatment?

You can continue with your day-to-day life. There maybe some redness or swelling at the treatment site.

You can apply cold compresses to settle any swelling or bruising but avoid massaging or deep rubbing in the treated area.

You can clean your skin as you normally do and avoid wearing make-up or any product which may irritate the skin.

Avoid extreme heat or cold, vigorous exercise or wearing anything tight in the area.

Further, and any specific, precautions are explained as part of the after care instructions with you.

Collagen stimulation

Collagen plays a significant role in skin health and ageing.

Restoring the skin’s collagen and elasticity using a variety of regenerative treatments are offered. More than 1 treatment may be required for optimal results for skin improvement and to achieve long lasting results

You might be interested in collagen stimulating treatments if you have:

• dark circles under the eye

• certain types of scarring

• thinning or creepy skin.

Results

The results may take up to 4-8 weeks, and 2-3 treatments may generally be required to help achieve long lasting results between 12-18 months. Individual variables influence results, like metabolism and smoking, but these will be explained further during consultation.

After your treatment?

There may be some swelling, bruising that subside over the following 3-4 days. Most people are able to return to their normal activities right after treatments. It is advised to avoid high intensity exertion for 24 hours and to wear sunscreen to avoid sun exposure. Do not apply make up for 48 hours after treatment unless it is a medical grade foundation like Oxygenetix foundation. More advise is provided during consultation and treatment.
